Hasayfu Hung Ga

Lam Tang Kung Fu

The Lam Tang Kung Fu Academy is unique because we offer a variety of Chinese martial arts. The school specializes in Hung Ga Kung Fu. We are proud to offer several different interpretations of Hung Ga, such as the branch of Hung Ga which stems from Lam-Sai Wing. The Lam Tang Kung Fu School feels equally proud to offer the Leung Hwa Chiu branch of Hung Ga, known as Hasayfu, or Four Lower Tigers, Hung Gar. This branch of Hung Ga is not very well known, but it is making a resurgence that is led by Grand Master Wing Lam and his disciples, of which Master Saleem is one.  We also offer the Tang Fong system of Kung Fu, which also has a very strong presence all over the world. At Lam Tang, we offer a full curriculum in these three major systems of Kung Fu.

Hung Ga Kung Fu

Hung-Ga is a fighting system that began in China in the 17th century, and is signified by its Five Animals styles, deep stance training and powerful hand techniques.  The demanding physical workout as well as the mentally stimulating practice is challenging. As you continue in training, you will find yourself achieving new levels of physical strength, fighting ability, as well as improved mental health.

Hasayfu Hung Kuen

One of the most fascinating aspects of Ha Say Fu is its emphasis upon unusual ancient weapons. Ha Say Fu contains many weapon sets that are seldom seen anymore, such as the thunder hoe, the double tiger-head shields, the gen (a precursor to the Okinawan sai), the nine-pointed rake, the dragon-head wooden bench and the double-headed dragon chain whip.
